We miss meeting together for worship, fellowship, discipleship and ministry. It is our prayer that we, as Amelia Baptist Church, will remain spiritually and physically healthy in this time when we are challenged by COVID-19. We are thankful that you have been reaching out to one another in this unique time.
We are seeking your insights to help us to stay connected during these uncertain times and as we plan to resume worshiping together. While we have not established a date for resuming our in-person worship and ministry, we are preparing plans in accordance with the guidelines established by medical professionals.
Our church leaders have chosen to follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Florida guidelines for large venues to help minimize the transmission of COVID-19. These guidelines include physical distancing, limiting participation of senior citizens, cleaning of the facilities and other actions that will be clarified in the future.
These restrictions will likely limit our worship service seating to less than 90. As a result, the elders are suggesting that we have two worship services on Sunday morning: 9:00 and 10:45 AM (times may change).
We do not anticipate resuming on-site Sunday School or other on-site ministries initially. We will work with your teachers to continue the use of on-line teaching at a time that is coordinated with the worship services. Next week will have a video of explanation available and a graphic of phases! Thank you!
Please consider the following questions. Your answers will help us minister to you during this time and encourage the transition back to meeting together.
